Hello hello,

How are you doing?
Last week, just before Ramadan begins, we decided to squeeze in one more dining experience β€” and we ended up at π‘Ίπ’‰π’‚π’π’ˆπ’‰π’‚π’Š 𝑴𝒆. This Michelin Guide–listed Pan-Asian restaurant, located in the West Bay beach area, instantly transports you to 1930s Shanghai with its glamorous art-deco interiors and elegant ambiance.

They offer a fantastic set lunch from 12:00–3:00 PM, priced at QR115 for three courses β€” including one soup, one starter, and one main course (excluding water). If you’re feeling a little indulgent, you can add dessert for just QR25 β€” and honestly, why wouldn’t you?

For the soup, I chose the π‘Ίπ’˜π’†π’†π’•π’„π’π’“π’ 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒑 β€” classic, comforting, and full of natural sweetness from the corn kernels. It was light yet flavourful, with a lovely texture that made it both satisfying and refreshing.

Choosing a starter was not easy at all β€” everything sounded tempting. After much consideration, I went with the π‘Ίπ’•π’†π’‚π’Žπ’†π’… π‘΄π’Šπ’™π’†π’… π‘«π’Šπ’Ž π‘Ίπ’–π’Ž π‘©π’‚π’”π’Œπ’†π’•, beautifully presented in a traditional bamboo steamer. Inside were π‘Ύπ’Šπ’π’… π‘΄π’–π’”π’‰π’“π’π’π’Ž π‘«π’–π’Žπ’‘π’π’Šπ’π’ˆπ’”, π‘ͺπ’“π’†π’‚π’Žπ’š & π‘Ίπ’‘π’Šπ’„π’š π‘ͺ𝒐𝒓𝒏 π‘«π’–π’Žπ’‘π’π’Šπ’π’ˆπ’”, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π‘Ύπ’‚π’ˆπ’šπ’– 𝑩𝒆𝒆𝒇 & π‘²π’Šπ’Žπ’„π’‰π’Š π‘«π’–π’Žπ’‘π’π’Šπ’π’ˆπ’”. Each one had its own distinct flavour profile, and together they made a perfectly balanced trio.

For the main course, I opted for π‘Ίπ’‰π’“π’Šπ’Žπ’‘π’” π’Šπ’ π‘ͺπ’‰π’Šπ’π’Š 𝑺𝒂𝒖𝒄𝒆 π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰ π‘¬π’ˆπ’ˆ π‘π’“π’Šπ’†π’… π‘Ήπ’Šπ’„π’†β€” mainly because I was craving good fried rice (hehe). And it absolutely delivered. The rice was light, fluffy, and perfectly separated β€” exactly how great fried rice should be β€” absorbing all those umami flavours. The shrimps were impressively large, coated in a sauce that was sweet, tangy, and gently spicy.

Of course, as someone with a serious sweet tooth, skipping dessert was never an option. I added the π‘΄π’Šπ’π’Œπ’š π‘ͺπ’‚π’Œπ’† β€” a soft sponge cake served with mango, pineapple, and banana compote, topped with sesame ice cream. It was tropical, creamy, and beautifully balanced.

And just when we thought the meal was over, the staff surprised us with a bowl of π‘©π’“π’π’˜π’ 𝑩𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑰𝒄𝒆 π‘ͺπ’“π’†π’‚π’Ž β€” and wow, it was incredibly goooooood. It was rich, nutty, and indulgent in the best way.

Overall, the experience was remarkable. The service was polished and professional, with great attention to detail. A lovely pre-Ramadan treat and definitely a lunch worth repeating.

Hello hello,

How are you doing?

Last Friday, we had the best time celebrating one of my bestie’s birthdays at the π‘·π’‚π’“π’‚π’…π’Šπ’”π’ 𝑩𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒕 π‘»π’“π’π’‘π’Šπ’„π’‚π’π’‚ 360, located on the 48th floor of Dusit Hotel Dohaβ€”and what a celebration it was!

First of all, the view… wow. The 360-degree panoramic view of the Doha skyline is absolutely breathtaking. Being that high up, with the city stretching out all around you, makes the whole experience feel extra special.

π‘·π’‚π’“π’‚π’…π’Šπ’”π’ 𝑩𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 takes place every Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, offering an international buffet-style spread. The soft beverage package is priced at QR345, and the house beverage package at QR425. The best part? They had a BOGO offer, which made it even more enjoyable and affordableβ€”always a win!

The brunch was quite busy, which added to the lively and fun atmosphere. The energy in the venue was great, perfect for celebrations and group gatherings.

As for the food, it was ok standard and very variedβ€”something for everyone. The buffet included sushi and sashimi, cold seafood, ceviche, tacos and nachos, fresh salads, steak, baked salmon, pizza, pasta, and more. It’s the kind of spread where you can easily go back for seconds (or thirds).

Dessert lovers will be happy too. There were plenty of options, from cakes and chocolate fondue to churros and ice creamβ€”so definitely save some space!

Service was excellent throughout. Omar and Phyo were especially attentive and made sure everything was well taken care of. Our drinks were served promptly, and they really helped make the experience smooth and enjoyable.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the live band, playing upbeat 80s-style rock music and yes it was loud as we wanted it to be. The ambience, combined with the music and stunning views, created such a vibrant and memorable setting.

Celebrating my friend’s birthday at Tropicana 360 was truly perfect. The vibes were amazing, and it’s definitely a place to create special memories.

Hello hello,

How are you doing?

After quite a long time, we finally made our way back to the π‘π’“π’Šπ’…π’‚π’š 𝑳𝒖𝒂𝒖 𝑩𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓 π‘½π’Šπ’„β€™π’”, Hilton Hotel Dohaβ€”and it was lovely to be back.

I still absolutely love the venue. The dome-shaped structure right by the beach is stunning, with its high ceiling and classic tiki-style dΓ©cor that instantly gives you tropical island vibes.

π‘π’“π’Šπ’…π’‚π’š 𝑳𝒖𝒂𝒖 𝑩𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and is served in a seated, sharing-style format. The enhanced package is priced at QAR 350 and is also available on BOGO, making it just QAR 175 per person with drinks. Honestly, that’s one of the best brunch deals in town.

The atmosphere was a big highlight for me. A live Latin-style band kept the energy high and had everyone moving all afternoon. The vibe was fun, lively, and full of good energy from start to finish.

We started with a generous selection of starters served to the table, including Trio Maki Rolls, Beef Gyoza, Hanguk Chicken Munchies, Tom Yum Gratin, and a couple of salads. It was a nice variety to kick things off.

For the main course, we had Teriyaki Tenderloin (sadly a bit overcooked), Miso Glazed Seabass, Green Curry Prawns, Black Pepper Chicken, and stir-fried noodles. A good mix of flavors overall.

Dessert included Coconut Flan, Pandan Cake, Mixed Fruits, and Vanilla Ice Cream. I must apologizeβ€”there were not many photos at this point because I was too busy dancing! I really enjoyed the pandan cake; it reminded me so much of a classic Thai dessert.

Overall, the food was just okay for me but the entertainment and atmosphere were absolutely superb. The live band, the crowd, and everyone dancing together made the experience super fun and memorable.
