Very nice house

The house is well located near the municipal market in a quiet street. It is very well equipped and clean. There was a warm welcome and we were given every advice we needed. We will book this house again when we return to Tavira.

Another reviewer said that the photographs don't do it justice and we agree. They don't convey the sense of how welcoming and homely it is. We have stayed in a few apartments around this area and Casa Azul is definately our favourite. it is very comfortable and well equipped, especially the kitchen which isn't always the case in holiday lets. We stayed the first week in April and it was a little cool sometimes but the stove warmed the house very quickly. Tavira itself is beautiful, built on either side of the river estuary with a number of footbridges to take you from one side to the other easily. The way the lovely buildings are arranged along the water reminded us of Venice. Lots of good places to eat, and we spent a lot of time just wandering around the backstreets breathing in the scent of orange blossom. Myriam was extremely friendly and helpful in all our communications too and Ivone who looks after the house had it very clean and welcoming with fruit and flowers even though we arrived quite early on the first day of our stay. If you want a characterful house in a pretty street instead of the usual beige apartment then this comes highly recommended!
