The Haunted Bookshop dates back to the 18th century, but came under the current proprietor - Sarah Key's - ownership in 1994. She now runs her enterprise Sarah Key Books out of the cosy store, specialising in children's and illustrated books.

The owner before her ran the bookshop for 15 years and requested his bookshop's name stay the same.

Little is known about this building. It has performed many functions from student housing to its current state as a home of old books and has been privy to many unexplained spectral sightings.

The old owner reportedly saw the ghost of an old man in the basement during his tenure. 👻👻👻
