Ten solo presentations across the city focus on individual designers, bringing together works from different collections and moments in their practice.

For some, these read as a retrospective, reflecting on an established body of work. For others, they offer a closer view into a language still taking shape.

From Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance’s Made In Situ seven-collection retrospective, to Emmanuel Babled’s takeover of Galeria Tapeçarias de Portalegre, and Bernardo Figueiredo’s presentation at QuartoSala, each Spotlight creates space to engage more deeply with the work.

Alongside these, a new generation of practices unfolds across the city — from Vasco Fragoso Mendes and Miguel Soeiro to Further Ther, Gonçalo Campos and Graça Pereira Coutinho.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 I , founder of , creates design and ceramic pieces that bring the outside in through forms drawn directly from nature.

His practice begins at the source. He sources his own clay, creates his own glazes, and crafts the tools that shape his textures. Before a piece even starts, an entire world is built around it, making the process as important as the final object.
Approaching clay with curiosity, much like a child, his journey is marked by experimentation, failure, and discovery. It is a continuous transformation from raw material to final form, driven by research and intuition.

He works between two meaningful spaces. One is , the art school where he studied for four years and now assists in teaching, continuing his research surrounded by students, mentors, and nature. The other is , a creative hub for elderly women, where daily moments of sewing, conversation, laughter, and making foster a sense of family that brings warmth and energy into his work.

As a young designer from a different background, one of his biggest challenges is exploring beauty through functional objects that can live in stores while remaining true to his process and values.

In 2025, he was one of twenty young designers selected to exhibit at MUDE during LDW’s YDG Open Call, a recognition that gave him the confidence to establish his own studio and continue creating, with the hope of inspiring others along the way.
