Red Legged Hermit crab at Parades do Porto de Mós
Não consigo perceber bem qual é a característica especial da enguia-moréia. Ela possui uma segunda mandíbula funcional única na garganta, chamada mandíbula faríngea. Esta permite-lhe consumir presas de grande porte sem recorrer à sucção, puxando a presa para o esófago.
Can't quite see the Moray Eel's special feature. It has a unique second functioning jaw in its throat called a Pharyngeal Jaw. It enables them to consume large prey without suction by pulling the prey into the esophagus.
