ARE existe na mutação das linguagens que todos partilhamos. As mesmas formas, os mesmos gestos, a mesma matéria primordial da construção. O que muda é a ordem e o que transforma é o pensamento.

Do latim, ARS, não a arte como ornamento ou gesto estético, mas o domínio consciente do ofício. O saber fazer habitado pelo saber porquê. ARE carrega as duas condições em simultâneo.

No centro de cada obra não está o programa nem a técnica. Está o afeto. A arquitectura que confere forma à vivência, que transforma a matéria em memória, que faz do lugar um sentimento.

ARE exists within the mutation of the languages we all share. The same forms, the same gestures, the same primordial matter of construction. What changes is the order and what transforms is the thought.

From the Latin, ARS,not art as ornament or aesthetic gesture, but the conscious mastery of the craft. The know-how inhabited by the know-why. ARE carries both conditions simultaneously.

At the center of every work lies neither program nor technique. It is affect. Architecture that gives form to experience, that transforms matter into memory, that turns a place into a feeling.

ARE is not about being; it is about dwelling, with thought, and with affect.
