Criado na Jamaica nos anos 1950, o conceito de soundsystem demorou décadas a chegar ao Brasil. No Rio de Janeiro, um coletivo foi responsável por essa revolução musical: DIGITALDUBS🥇

Há mais de 22 anos na cena, Digitaldubs foi arrebatando seguidores com os graves pesados que estremecem o underground da “cidade maravilhosa”.

Fundador, DJ e produtor Marcus MPC lembra que quando o projeto começou, “tudo era mato”.
A divulgação era feita boca a boca, com flyers entregues de mão em mão, e os primeiros “bailes” ocupavam um alfarrabista na calçada de Copacabana.

Depois os “embaixadores do Dub brasileiro” rodaram o mundo, com “tours” na Europa, nos Estados Unidos e em diversos países da América Latina.

O coletivo já gravou quatro álbuns e vários singles,e participou em trabalhos de nomes como Tom Zé, Gilberto Gil e BNegão, fora artistas internacionais consagrados no universo do reggae, como Ranking Joe, Cedric “the Congo” Myton e Lee “Scratch” Perry.

Regressam a Portugal e vão a Sesimbra para “incendiar” a pista de dança..chega junto🔥

Created in Jamaica in the 1950s, the soundsystem concept took decades to reach Brazil. In Rio de Janeiro, a collective was responsible for this musical revolution: DIGITALDUBS🥇

For over 22 years on the scene, Digitaldubs has been gaining followers with the heavy bass that shake the “wonderful city”.
Founder of Digitaldubs, DJ and producer Marcus MPC remembers that when the project began, “everything was bush”. (popular parlance)

Publicity was done by word of mouth, with flyers handed out from hand to hand, and the first “dances” took place in a second-hand bookstore on the Copacabana sidewalk.

Afterwards, they gained momentum and traveled the world, with tours in Europe, the United States and several Latin American countries.

The collective has already recorded four albums and several singles, and participated in works by names such as Tom Zé, Gilberto Gil and BNegão, as well as renowned international artists in the reggae universe, such as Ranking Joe, Cedric “the Congo” Myton and Lee “Scratch” Perry .
