Title: Technology Integration Specialist

Description:

The Middle and Upper School Technology Integration Specialist will be a key teammate in a three person team charged with purposeful integration of technology into the Maclay Curriculum. The position will be the front line champion of Middle and Upper School technology integration efforts. This position will have the full support and partnership of a robust technology office and strong partners in the Lower School technology integration staff. This is a new position and as such, will require an unquenchable desire to differentiate instruction to teachers in order to enable meaningful use of technology in all disciplines of the Middle and Upper School. This leader will be counted on as the resident expert on best practices in technology use for education and expected to partner with the Division Directors and Department Chairs to articulate realistic expectations for technological progression in the curriculum and classroom. Desired qualifications for the position are an advanced degree in Technology Integration or related Education degree, at least 5 years of successful teaching experience in a middle grades classroom, and 2 years of experience educating teachers in the integration of technology for instruction in an independent school. Maclay seeks a leader who knows how to work collaboratively with a team, sets high expectations for themselves and, others and will be undaunted by the ups and downs of integrating new technology into traditional classrooms.
