Hot take: Songs Need Bridges Again. ⁣⁣
One thing I love about R&B songs like,” U Make Me Wanna,” by Usher is the bridge. It’s the moment where the song really goes somewhere. This past weekend I sang some of my favorite R&B songs and realized today’s songs don’t have bridges!⁣⁣

Why bridges matter:⁣⁣
1. They elevate the music.⁣⁣
A bridge breaks the pattern of the song and adds a new melody, chord change, or vocal moment that keeps things interesting.⁣⁣

The bridge often reveals a new feeling or perspective,m giving the listener a deeper connection to the song.⁣⁣

3. They make the final chorus hit harder.⁣⁣
After the shift of a bridge, the last chorus feels bigger and more satisfying, like the song finally comes full circle.⁣⁣
