101st Troop Command

U.S. Army Spc. Fabian Velez, representing the Alpha Company, 1/65th Infantry Regiment, 92nd Military Police Brigade, Puerto Rico Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Sgt. Pedro Miranda, representing the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 292nd Combat Sustainment Battalion, 191st Regional Support Group, Puerto Rico Army National Guard are the Enlisted and Noncommissioned officer winners of the Best Warrior Competition, at Camp Santiago, Puerto Rico, Feb. 22, 2026.

Velez and Miranda will move onto the regional phase of the Best Warrior Competitions, in Camp Butner Training Center, North Carolina. The competition featured a multitude of events that test the Soldier’s mental, physical, and tactical proficiency, while developing their resiliency and exemplifying the warrior ethos.
