Puerto Rico’s Act 60 framework is undergoing important changes. Under Act 38-2026, new applications submitted on or after January 1, 2027, will be subject to updated provisions, including changes to preferential tax treatment, exemption periods, residency requirements, and real estate ownership rules.

Applications submitted on or before December 31, 2026, will remain subject to the current law.
