As a wedding officiant, I get to hear some of the most beautiful and unexpected love stories, and Giovanna and Alex’s journey is one of my favorites!

Their story began at a college social event at a bowling alley in Auburn, Alabama. Alex, a sophomore, noticed Giovanna’s bright smile and sparkling eyes, and though he might’ve stared a little too much, he couldn’t help it—there was something special about her. Giovanna introduced herself as “G,” and from that moment, their connection grew stronger with every shared laugh.

Even after some playful teasing from friends (yes, Alex was blushing!), the two couldn’t resist each other’s charm. Fate even had them bump into each other at Walmart afterward, where Alex tried to get Giovanna’s attention by calling out “G!”—though she didn’t hear him! 😅 But that didn’t stop Alex. Soon enough, they were texting and becoming inseparable.
