Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone and say thank you to someone who has touched the lives of so many children and families over the past 25+ years — Edith Silva. ❤️

For more than two decades, Edith has been the heart of our CYS kitchens, serving as the cook for our Child Development Center, School Age Center, and Youth Center. Day in and day out, she helped nourish our children with care, dedication, and love.

Our CYS cooks are truly the unsung heroes working behind the scenes to ensure our children are fed, cared for, and supported every single day. Edith exemplified selfless service, supporting our military, federal, and civilian families with unwavering commitment and kindness.

Thank you, Edith, for always making sure we were inspection-ready, for being such an amazing coworker, and for the countless meals, smiles, and memories you provided over the years. Your dedication has made a lasting impact on generations of children and families.
You will be deeply missed, but your legacy of service, kindness, and commitment will never be forgotten.
