Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite submissions for the Process Industries Division at the IIE Annual Conference.
Come and share your ideas, and partake in open discussions with leading researchers, developers, practitioners and authors.

The IIE Annual Conference and Expo is the Institute of Industrial Engineer's premier annual professional development event for:
Industry - managers, engineers, staff, and line personnel who drive productivity and efficiency in their organizations
Academia - researchers advancing the science and application of industrial engineering
What defines the Process Industries Division?
Applying industrial engineering tools in the process industries can vary greatly from applying these same tools in discrete parts manufacturing. The Process Industries Division is a forum for the exchange of ideas in theory and practice of industrial engineering techniques applied to process industries.

This year we are making a special effort to drive collaboration of our Research and Applied Solutions members, and have opened both tracks to all of our participants. Any member is able to submit for either Applied Solutions or Research tracks, and can do so by following the link here:
https://www.xcdsystem.com/iie2015/index.cfm

Also, don't miss our Town Hall session, including a Career Panel discussion and presentation of Division Awards!

There are two categories for abstracts:
1. Applied Solutions - Applied Solutions papers present proven solutions from applying industrial and systems engineering principles within industry, healthcare or service companies
2. Industrial and Systems and Engineering Research Conference (ISERC) - these papers describe academic and new research or modeling for systems applied to Construction science and Industrial Engineering

*We are especially looking for presentations in the following topics*

PROCESS DESIGN
· Design for Integrity, Quality And Reliability
· Design and Analysis of Experiments
· Optimal and Robust Process Design
· Mathematical Modeling of Complex Processes
· Green Process Design
· Computer-Aided Design / Rapid Prototyping
· Process Simulation and Optimization
· Hierarchical Process Design and Optimization
PROCESS OPERATIONS
· Manufacturing Planning and Optimization
· Six Sigma Methods and Process Capability
· Fault Diagnosis and Root Cause Analysis
· Inventory Planning and Management
· Continuous Process Improvements
· Lean Techniques for Process Management
· Value Stream Costing
· Work Measurement
· Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED)
PROCESS CONTROL
· Sensor-based System Informatics and Control
· Model-Based Predictive Control
· Statistical Process Control

· Ceramics
· Food and beverages
· Semiconductor industry
· Energy industry
We strongly encourage all presenters for the ISERC track to submit a full length paper for the conference proceedings. Applied Solutions presenters are required only to have a presentation. The abstract submission website is provided at the top of this document. The papers should contain results that are significant and have archival value to the industrial and systems engineering research community. Full papers have a ten-page limit and will undergo a double-blind peer review process. All accepted papers are indexed by ProQuest. IIE is currently working on uploading papers of previous years onto IIE website. ISERC presentations without a paper are acceptable, but will not be indexed in the conference proceedings.
