National Indoors ✅ 2nd after qualification and 8th after matches. Shot alright, just ran out of steam… this corporate lifestyle is tough to balance 😆👩🏻‍💻

A couple of weekends shooting field 😍 Overton was TOUGH. A hard course combined with strong winds and ACEs left a lot to be desired from the score but it was a good lesson in all things slopey. Worthing was challenging but in a different way. Fab course that kept me thinking. Quite possibly my favourite shoot this year, although it’s my home club so I may be biased 🤷🏻‍♀️ Score was a nice confidence boost with some easy points still to be gained 😊 Now in Poland for the European Field Champs this week. Last event of the season and I’m looking forward to it 🏹

4th at National Tour Final a couple of weeks ago 🍫 Happy enough to end the target season with another decent performance. World Games - 5th 🫠

Am I disappointed? Yes.
Should I cut myself some slack? Probably.

It’s been 11 months since my last international event - possibly the longest break I’ve had in over a decade (excluding 2020 😷). Physically I was ready for this week, despite training significantly less than before. Mentally I wasn’t prepared for a finals field to feel so alien! I’ve got some work to do before the Europeans.

Overall it felt good to be back at a major tournament, catch up with friends, and still be competitive in an incredibly strong field of recurve women! Home tomorrow night and then back to work at 9am Friday 👩🏻‍💻
