Throwback time! The Super Mario Galaxy Movie dropping today felt like the universe giving me permission to bring this shoot back out after 3 years.
This one was taken in and the costume actually won me Grand Prix in 2023, so she holds a very special place in my heart. Peach has always been my favourite kind of energy to step into, soft and bright and completely unbothered. And while Rosalina is stealing the show in theatres today, the crown still belongs to her.
Should I do Rosalina as well tho? 👀

I've been saving this photo for today because nothing has ever captured my life more accurately. Today starts the last year of my twenties, everything during these past few months was on fire, I was fully aware, and I sat in it and ate my pizza anyway.
Turns out strength and happiness just means holding eye contact with the chaos and keeping on chewing. MA done, everything survived, pierogi pillow from .katowice acquired. Spending today with my person, my cats, an unreasonable amount of coffee, and no idea whatsoever where I'm being taken. And contrary to the meme, now this is fine. Genuinely fine ❤️

A popular cosplay influencer just said competitions are a waste of time and not a part of cosplay culture. I refuse to let that go unanswered.
Without competitions the performer you see on those stages wouldn't exist. I wouldn't have met my fiancé. We wouldn't have travelled abroad. I wouldn't have met so many of the friends I have if it weren't for backstages. My skills wouldn't exist, every single thing I know about performance, production and craft I taught myself chasing a stage, and every jury feedback was a challenge to better myself. And the confidence to stand here and say all of this wouldn't exist either.
For so many of us competitions are the heart of cosplay. It's a privilege to be able to compete and it's not for everyone, and that's okay. Every part of this community has its place, including influencing, which is something I deeply respect and aspire to myself. But that's exactly why no part of it should ever be belittled, including ours.
So I dare anyone to tell us it's a waste of time.

That's me in a palace (we were shooting something beautiful with .camera), wearing a dress I patterned, sewed and airbrushed myself, and a hat I absolutely stole from , who did the exact same thing with his costume.
The AI prompt is a needle, 3 metres of fabric, and the audacity to hot glue at 2am.

My first attempt at a voiceover tutorial! It's a weird thing listening to my voice like this and I thought it was worth trying because I'm on a mission to recover whatever's left of my Dublin accent. Spoiler: it's not much 🤣
This is part 1 of King's Fox Mask cosplay commission from Silent Hill f, a cotton fabric dyeing tutorial using the bathtub method to achieve a clean gradient base before his airbrush and weathering work in part 2.

Happy Valentine's Day from your favorite sorceress and her favorite dhampir 💜 Swipe to the end for the very glamorous reality of competition life courtesy of .photography 🤣 memes included!
We can finally share these! captured these stunning shots during international prelims on back in November – I still can't believe how much I love these, considering they were shot when I was sweaty, had cramps in both my feet that started during the performance and was running on two hours of sleep. These are also the only photos that I have of Maria in her full glory since I forgot to even take a selfie during the competition (.cosplay we will do the Spooderman meme SOMEHOW)
Why post them for Valentine's? Well, when you spend this much time working on costumes together – the late nights, the problem-solving, the moments when you want to quit but your partner keeps you going – you realize this is what a good partnership looks like. Creative or otherwise.
Maria and Alucard were personally important to us, and looking at these images now, we're so glad we pushed through to the end. It meant more than we can put into words.
Also, huge thanks to and for staying up late to make that beautiful support banner (photo 6 still makes us cry 😭❤️)
What's your Valentine's Day looking like? Ours is spending the day at a con with friends, we'll have our own celebration later with a hotpot, since food is our love language.

Best way to celebrate getting into Pixelmania 2k26? Sharing these brand new photos from .cosplayphotography from Pixel 2k25! Fair warning, if you're already tired of seeing Lady Dimitrescu, tough luck because I have tons more content coming 😂 Don't worry though, I've got something completely different lined up for Valentine's. Maybe not the most thematic choice, but it's one close to my heart.
I'm beyond excited to bring all my international cosplays this year and connect with people who geek out over photo events as much as I do. The lineup I'm planning with and is gonna be fireeeeeeee
