Telegram launched their own ad selling platform

The Telegram Ad Platform will allow advertisers to promote channels and bots within the messenger. Sponsored messages will be up to 160 characters long and will appear in channels with at least one thousand subscribers. The cost of one thousand impressions of the sponsored message will be € 2.

In addition, the messenger will continue to follow the principle of non-disclosure of user data. Thus, an advertiser will not be able to insert an external link into the advertising message. The only available targeting options on the platform will be the language and topic of the channel, as well as the specific channel on which the sponsored post will be displayed.

At the moment, all ad revenue will go to Telegram. However, after testing the platform, the messenger will start sharing ad revenues with channel owners.
