Ready for Spring but your wardrobe isn’t? Try this for a smoother transition:
➡️ 1: Remove the thick and heavy items: First things first, grab those really thick and bulky winter items like your warmest sweaters, heavy coats, and cozy loungewear. Pack them away for now to free up space.
➡️ 2: Layer Up Lightly: Bring out a few versatile layering pieces perfect for spring’s in-between weather. Think blazers, cardigans, and lightweight jackets. These will be your go-to for adding warmth without being too heavy.
➡️ 3: Introduce Brighter Blouses and Layer-Friendly Dresses: Now’s the time to bring in your brighter-colored blouses and long dresses. Think about how you can layer these – a cardigan over a dress, or a light jacket over a blouse. Having these out and visible will give you more spring outfit options.
➡️ 4: Easy-Reach Rotation: Give your closet a quick switch-up. Move your cooler items to the front where you can easily see them. Push your warmer, purely winter items further back or onto higher shelves.
➡️ 5: Gradual Warm-Weather Swap: As the days get warmer, you can start swapping out those long sleeves for t-shirts and tank tops, and your trousers for shorts or skirts. It’s a gradual process, no need to do it all at once!

If you’re tired of thinking, ‘My home will never look like that,’ it’s time to dig a little deeper. What would a calmer, more organised space truly mean to you?
Here’s a practical way to discover your personal organising style:
Name Your Values
What’s truly important to you? Connection? Peace? Simplicity? Creativity?
Connect Your Values to Your Space
Consider how your home’s organisation can reflect your values. For simplicity, that might be decluttering. For connection, a cozy conversation area. For peace & calm, maybe a ‘no-phone-zone’? For creativity, a dedicated project space.
Be You
Don’t try to recreate an Instagram pantry or copy someone else’s style. Infuse your own character and personality into your space. What reflects your unique tastes and preferences?
Make Small, Intentional Changes
Start with one small area and organise it with your values in mind. Notice how it feels. This will guide you in finding a natural, sustainable organising style that makes your home uniquely yours.
“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.” - Joseph Campbell
Here’s to creating more space for what lasts, and less for what doesn’t.
