In March, ELNET CEE and ELNET - European Leadership Network had the privilege of organizing a study visit to Israel for a delegation of Polish MPs and administrative specialists, focused on civil defense. 🇵🇱🤝🇮🇱

During the visit, participants had the opportunity to gain firsthand insights into Israel’s advanced civil defense systems and crisis management strategies. The delegation attended briefings with high-ranking experts from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA), Magen David Adom , and the Homefront Command.

The delegates had the opportunity to meet with the new Polish Head of Mission in Israel, Mr. Maciej Hunia. They also visited key sites, including the Kibbutz Nir Oz and Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, paying tribute to those affected by the October 7 attacks. In Jerusalem, the delegation met with members of the Knesset and strategic experts from the Israeil Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss bilateral cooperation and crisis response.

The program provided invaluable lessons on building resilience and ensuring public safety in challenging circumstances. We are grateful to all our partners and speakers for sharing their expertise and experience.
