In 1979 I had the very great honour, as a young officer in the 2nd Battalion Scots Guards, of being a tiny part of Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II's Trooping the Colour/Birthday Parade. She was my boss.
This photo was taken inside Chelsea Barracks by my late father after the Parade. My mother, who passed away 20 years ago, is clearly showing everyone how she would have run the Parade!
The Queen's funeral yesterday was an incredibly moving spectacle and filled me with memories, both happy and sad. What a send-off.
The world will never see anything like it again.
