Tits

The word "titmouse" is derived from the name of the blue color and is associated with the color of the blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus), formerly attributed to the tit genus as Parus caeruleus. According to another version, the name of the bird was formed from the onomatopoeic zin, and subsequently, as a result of folk etymology, it was brought closer to the word blue.
