Let me kindly remind you and cordially invite you again to participate in the 16th Annual International Scientific Conference entitled "Theoretical and Practical Aspects of Distance Learning" with the subtitle "E-learning & Enhancing Soft Skills", which will be held on the 14th and 15th of October 2024 in Cieszyn.

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences of the University of Silesia in Cieszyn, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Institute of Pedagogy, and the Institute of Computer Science, together with partner universities and associations from Poland and 12 other countries.

The conference will be held under the patronage of the Rector of the University of Silesia, Prof. Dr. Hab. Ryszard Koziołek, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences – Prof. dr hab. Zenon Gajdzica, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Education – Prof. dr hab. Katarzyna Marcol, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology – Prof. dr hab. Danuta Stróż, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy – Prof. dr hab. Irena Polewczyk, Director of the Institute of Computer Science – Prof. dr hab. inż. Rafał Doroz

The official language of the conference is English.

DLCC2024 was also included in the "European City of Science - Katowice 2024" program.

Conference materials and authors' papers will be reviewed and planed to publish in a Scientific Monograph entitled "E-learning & Enhancing Soft Skills" by Springer Publishing House, indexed in Scopus.

Volumes 14 (DLCC2022) and 15 (DLCC2023) of E-learning Series were submitted earlier to Clarivate, and the evaluation process for indexing in WoS is ongoing. We believe in positive results by the end of this year.

Authors can also publish their articles in the International Journal of Research in E-learning (IJREL), which is on the Ministerial List of scored scientific journals - 70 points (2024):

This peer-reviewed journal has ISSN 2451-2583 (print) and ISSN 2543-6155 (online), DOI numbers, and is indexed in over 15 international scientific bibliometric databases, including Erih Plus, Index Copernicus, DOAJ, EBSCO, MIAR, and others. We hope it will be indexed in WoS in the near future.

Priority will be given to articles presenting the results of empirical research and those prepared by international teams of scientists based on comparative research.

1st August 2024 – deadline for submitting registration forms, abstracts, sending the Springer monograph chapters, and IJREL journal articles (2024, 2025). Registration fee due.

1st October 2024 – Final deadline for registration fee payment, submitting IJREL journal articles (2025) and distribution of the complete conference programme.
