Emotions were high. I couldn’t contain myself either. We waited years for our national anthem to be played at an IMMAF competition, and it happened IN Pakistan. You can’t write a better story if you tried. I always dreamt of seeing the day we’d win an IMMAF gold medal, never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be in the cage when it happens.
In a male dominated sport, two women secured our first gold medals ever. We are Pakistani MMA and we’re just getting started, God bless.
