General Nadeem Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, who is on official visit to Kazakhstan, called on H.E. Mr Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. Chairman JCSC also had separate meetings with Defence Minister, Deputy Minister of Industry & Infrastructural Development, and Chief of General Staff of Kazakhstan Armed Forces.
During the meetings, both sides deliberated upon various areas of interest, bilateral cooperation including security, counter-terrorism and prevailing regional environment particularly with reference to Afghanistan. The dignitaries dilated upon measures to enhance the level and scope of military engagements between both countries and reaffirmed to continue to forge deeper ties.
Chairman JCSC said that Pakistan is keen to expand its existing bilateral military to military cooperation with Kazakhstan. The dignitaries lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in fight against terrorism.
Chairman JCSC also visited National Defence University of Kazakhstan and inaugurated ‘Pakistan Military Art Room’. The room reflects gallant history of Armed Forces of Pakistan, its culture and traditions.
Earlier upon arrival at Ministry of Defence, Chairman JCSC was presented Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Kazakhstan Armed Forces.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) visited Baloch Regimental Centre Abbottabad, today, on the occasion of annual Commanding Officers Conference.
COAS laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada on his arrival at Baloch Regimental Centre and later addressed the officers. COAS appreciated Baloch regiment for displaying the highest standards in all professional pursuits, including their befitting participation in operations. Speaking on the occasion, COAS emphasised that commanders at all levels should stay focused on achieving professional excellence, while keeping themselves abreast with the latest developments, to overcome emerging challenges.
Earlier on his arrival at the Regimental Centre, COAS was received by the Colonel Commandant Baloch Regiment, Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas; Inspector General Arms, Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan and Commandant Baloch Regimental Centre, Brigadier Osman lbne Riaz.

آرمی چیف نے یادگار شہدا پر بلوچ رجمنٹل سینٹر پہنچنے پر پھولوں کی چادر چڑھائی اور بعد میں افسران سے خطاب کیا۔ چیف آف آرمی سٹاف نے بلوچ رجمنٹ کو تمام پیشہ ورانہ سرگرمیوں میں اعلیٰ معیارات دکھانے پر سراہا ، بشمول آپریشن میں ان کی مناسب شرکت۔ اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے ، سی او اے ایس نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ تمام سطحوں پر کمانڈروں کو پیشہ ورانہ مہارت حاصل کرنے پر توجہ مرکوز رکھنی چاہیے ، جبکہ اپنے آپ کو تازہ ترین پیش رفت سے آگاہ رکھتے ہوئے ، ابھرتے ہوئے چیلنجز پر قابو پانے کے لیے۔
قبل ازیں رجمنٹل سینٹر پہنچنے پر ، کرنل کمانڈنٹ بلوچ رجمنٹ ، لیفٹیننٹ جنرل اظہر عباس نے COAS کا استقبال کیا۔ انسپکٹر جنرل آرمز ، لیفٹیننٹ جنرل ماجد احسان اور کمانڈنٹ بلوچ رجمنٹل سینٹر ، بریگیڈیئر عثمان لبن ریاض۔
