This image categorizes computer storage into *three main types*:
𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐘
𝐑𝐀𝐌
- Volatile memory; stores data currently in use by the system.
- Data is lost when power is off.
- Fast read/write speeds.
𝐑𝐎𝐌
- Non-volatile memory; contains permanent instructions (e.g., BIOS).
Cannot be modified easily.
𝐂𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄
- Very fast, small memory located inside or close to the CPU.
- Temporarily stores frequently used data for quick access.
*2. 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐘 (Permanent, user-accessible storage):

𝐇𝐃𝐃 (Hard Disk Drive)*:
- Magnetic storage, slower than SSDs but cheaper.
- Used for storing large amounts of data.

𝐒𝐒𝐃 (Solid State Drive)*:
- Faster than HDDs, no moving parts.
- Used for OS, software, and quick access data.

𝐂𝐃/𝐃𝐕𝐃 (Compact Disc / Digital Versatile Disc)*:
- Optical storage used for media, backups, etc.
- Becoming less common.
𝐔𝐒𝐁 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄
- Portable, rewritable storage device.
- Useful for transferring files between systems.
*3. Tertiary/ Cloud Storage* (Backup, long-term, or remote storage):
𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐃 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐄
- Online storage (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox).

Motherboard:
The main circuit board that connects all other components.
CPU (Central Processing Unit): The "brain" that processes instructions and runs the operating system and applications.

RAM (Random Access Memory):
Short-term memory that the CPU uses to quickly access data.
Storage Device: Long-term storage for data, such as a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD).
Power Supply Unit (PSU): Converts wall power into the correct voltage for the computer's components.
GPU (Graphics Processing Unit): Handles all graphics and video output, also known as a video card.
