Avoid aggressive brushing, as it can harm delicate gums. Medium or hard bristle brushes may damage teeth and cause gum swelling. Use a gentle flossing technique to prevent bleeding or irritation.

Bleeding gums signal gingivitis, a result of plaque buildup. Gingivitis leads to red, irritated gums that bleed during brushing.

𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬:
Neglecting gingivitis can progress to periodontitis, harming gum and bone support. This results in inflamed gums, infections, and gum recession.

𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐜𝐲𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐭:
Gums bleeding during brushing may indicate thrombocytopenia, a condition linked to insufficient platelets for proper blood clotting.

𝐓𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨'𝐬 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭:
Smoking greatly raises the risk of gum disease, affecting overall gum health and can lead to bleeding gums.

𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐂 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲:
Inadequate vitamin C can lead to weakness, irritability, and swollen, bleeding gums, impacting overall health.

𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐊'𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞:
Gum bleeding may be due to lacking vitamin K, essential for blood clotting and bone strength.

𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Bleeding or swollen gums might be a sign of diabetes type 1 or type 2, which weakens the mouth's ability to fight germs and increases the risk of gum disease.
