Muslim pilgrims are arriving in Mecca for the Hajj, which resumes at its full scale this week.

Over 1.5 million foreign pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia by Tuesday, mostly by air, from around the world.

More arrivals are expected, with hundreds of thousands of Saudis and residents also joining the pilgrimage starting on Friday. This marks a significant return to the traditional large-scale gathering for the annual Hajj.
