Short Tafsir (According to the concept of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi رحمه الله) –

This blessed verse was said by the Holy Prophet ﷺ to Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه during the migration, when they were in the Cave of Thawr and the disbelievers had come very close. Through this verse, the Prophet ﷺ comforted him and affirmed complete trust in Allah.

According to Imam Ahmed Raza Khan رحمه الله, the “companionship of Allah” mentioned here refers to special divine support, which includes help, protection, and victory. Whoever places complete trust in Allah has no reason to fear or grieve, because Allah Himself becomes their protector and helper.
