Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Islamabad on Monday on a two-day state visit, the Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said during a weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday.

Spokesperson said Xi will accompany a high power delegation and a number of important agreements and MOUs will be signed during his visit.

Pakistan and China whose 6 decades long partnership is termed as stronger than steel.

China has been helping Pakistan in transforming traditional foreign policy into economic diplomacy to give new boost to trade and economic relations with Pakistan.

China has invested in many power projects including hydel, solar and wind to support Pakistan to overcome the current electricity shortage.

Pakistan and China have launched a mega economic project called, "Pakistan China Economic Corridor" a road, rail link connecting China's Xinjiang region with Pakistan's Gwadar deep seaport.

No doubt, Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (Gwadar) will bring the wave of prosperity for the people of Baluchistan and Pakistan and in said Asian Region.

Experts believe the corridor will not only boost Sino-Pakistan trade and commerce ties but also bring the people of the two countries more close.
