The FBR Chairman has decided that all income tax returns for Tax Year 2025, filed before 22nd September 2025, will be treated as abnormal/invalid. Taxpayers concerned will soon receive a systematic rectification notice, after which they will be required to re-file their returns under the newly prescribed forms. The relevant SRO and circular regarding this rectification will shortly be published on the FBR website.
