Air Quality Roadmap 2024–2027 | Overview Meeting Held at P&D Board

A overview briefing meeting on Air Quality Roadmap 2024-27 chaired by Ms. Nadia Shafiq - Sr. Chief Environment P&DB / DPC PGDP was held at P&D Complex. Briefing agenda included:

✅ Automation of AQMS and ETS
✅ Emission standards for motorbikes
✅ Crop burning mitigation strategies
✅ Commercial Vehicle Inspection expansion
✅ Fuel quality testing rollout and other.

📈 With Lahore’s air quality challenges persisting in 2025, the meeting emphasized review of stronger data systems, integrated monitoring, and real-time public dashboards.

Secretary P&D Board / PC PGDP, Dr. Asif Tufail, chaired the 10th Program Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of the Punjab Green Development Program (PGDP), during which the agenda of the meeting was formally approved.

The meeting featured a comprehensive review of the Program’s progress, including the implementation of decisions from the 9th PSC meeting, the finalization of the Green Financing Strategy, and the proposed restructuring of the Program.

Representatives from relevant departments attended the session, contributing to a collaborative and informed discussion on these critical matters.
