Pakistan and Turkiye have finalized energy agreements worth over 300 million dollars, aiming to accelerate offshore gas exploration and strengthen cooperation in the mining sector. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif oversaw the signing, which includes new petroleum concessions and a 25 percent working-interest transfer in the Indus Offshore Block C to Turkish Petroleum.

Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar noted that both nations plan to deepen collaboration as they move toward a 5 billion dollar trade goal. Pakistan also welcomed Turkiye’s interest in the upcoming DISCO privatisation program. To support these initiatives, Turkish Petroleum will open an office in Islamabad this month, setting the stage for expanded joint ventures in the energy sector.

Saudi Arabia has announced a new grant of 90 million dollars for the Palestinian Authority, delivered in Amman to Finance Minister Estephan Salameh by Saudi Ambassador Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud. The funding is intended to help the Palestinian administration meet essential expenses and strengthen key areas such as healthcare, education, and public services during ongoing economic challenges.

The move highlights Saudi Arabia’s continued humanitarian and diplomatic support for the Palestinian people, reaffirming its commitment to stability and assistance in a time of financial strain.
