✨Workshop on Improv for mental health practitioners✨

House of Pebbles is hosting an “Improvisation Workshop” for all Mental Health Practitioners of Karachi. It is being facilitated by Khizzer Alam!

Objectives of interpersonal games and exercises:
• FUN!
• Open listening skills
• Transcending self judgment (shame) and anxiety
• Letting go and being present
• Embracing creativity
• Developing social/interpersonal confidence
• Collaboration and support!

Caveats:
• Important to note that the primary benefits of this workshop will be to the counsellors themselves as individuals and secondarily benefits for their counselling.
• Although these benefits will show in client work, the focus is on the counsellor’s process rather than the 'counselling' .
• This workshop is not a substitute for therapy training but a supplement to the counsellor.

Facilitator:
Khizzer Alam has experience with training in improv for 3 years at the International Improv Theatre in Copenhagen ,Denmark.
Through his company Free Bird he teaches improv to young children, teenagers, adults with mental disorders and psychotherapists in Pakistan.
He is also a Humanistic trainee-therapist with over 150 hours of working in one on one therapy.
Khizzer is deeply passionate about mental health and believes that stress reduction can be fun and light.
Creating a safe space in workshops for people to challenge and express themselves towards personal freedom.

Who should Attend: Mental Health Practitioners in Karachi

Incase of postponement or delay of the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be communicated. In case of cancellation of the workshop, a refund will be generated.For any other matters, discretion is upon the organization policies and processes.
