This mandate ensures that all industrial and commercial establishments pay no less than the government-set minimum wages. The directive, effective from July 1, 2025, establishes a monthly wage of Rs. 40,000 and a daily wage of Rs. 1,538.46. Minimum wage Notification Punjab and KPK.

In this regard, the Election Commission of Pakistan has issued Notification No(1)2024-cod-vol-III dated 1st Feb 2024. According to the Notification, in the exercise of powers conferred under article 218 of the constitution read with sections (4) and 8(C) of the Election Act 2017 (act no. # # of 2017), and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the election commission of Pakistan is pleased to declare General holiday on 08th February 2024 in the country in order to enable the voters to exercise their right of franchise and conveniently.
