Creating resilient communities starts by investing in the people who will lead them.

Shehersaaz recently organized a Training of Trainers (ToT) on Water User Groups and Water Management in Rawalpindi, where 18 participants gained practical knowledge on water conservation, responsible water use, rainwater harvesting, and methods to improve water safety and quality.

The programme is designed to create local champions. From this group, 8 Master Trainers, 8 Training Facilitators, and 2 Activity Monitors will be selected to conduct 36 awareness and training sessions across 7 Union Councils in Rawalpindi, enabling communities to adopt better water management practices and make the most of their rainwater harvesting systems.

Implemented in partnership with UN-Habitat and the Adaptation Fund, this initiative reflects a shared commitment to strengthening climate resilience through community-led action. Every trained facilitator represents another step toward a future where knowledge flows as freely as water.
