U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar says Americans are “paying for genocide” as she criticizes U.S. policy toward Israel and recent strikes involving Iran.

Omar issued a sharp response following reported U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, accusing the Trump administration of funding what she described as atrocities in Gaza and drawing the United States into a broader conflict with Iran.

“The American people are sick and tired of funding atrocities,” Omar wrote, again describing Israel as a “genocidal apartheid regime.”

Omar has been among the most vocal critics in Congress of U.S. military aid to Israel since the October 7 attacks, and she also argued that the recent strikes on Iran were illegal and not authorized by Congress.

The Donald Trump administration and Republican allies have defended the strikes, saying they were necessary to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Israel and its supporters strongly reject the genocide accusations.

Meanwhile, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu in November 2024 over alleged war crimes in Gaza — a move Israel has dismissed as politically motivated.

BREAKING: Steve Witkoff, a U.S. envoy involved in Middle East diplomacy, said Israel is effectively “a one-bomb country,” warning that the nation’s small geographic size makes it highly vulnerable in the event of a major missile or nuclear strike.

His remarks highlight growing concerns among U.S. officials about regional escalation and security risks as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East.

Analysts say statements like this reflect the strategic vulnerability of densely populated states in modern missile warfare.
