Something I realized while building this system:
It’s not the complexity that makes things hard, it’s how everything is connected.
At first it felt simple, but as more parts started interacting, even small changes became harder to manage.
So I started keeping things more separated, giving each part a clear role.
It already feels much easier to work with.
Do you think structure matters early on, or only when things start growing?

Small but important progress on Chips Tycoon.
Earlier everything was running in a single test scene, which made the game feel like it was resetting all the time.
Now it has a proper flow:
Lender → get starting money
Market → buy items, containers, and resources
Also made all core systems persist across scenes:
Money, inventory, storage, and capacity now carry over properly.
Cleaned up interactions so each object handles its own logic instead of everything being tied to the player.
Still working with simple cubes for now, focusing on getting the systems right before visuals.
There’s a lot more that could be built quickly, but I’m deliberately taking it step by step to keep things clear and scalable.
Next step is the actual gameplay loop where customers place orders and the player prepares them.

A major system milestone has been completed for our upcoming tycoon game.
What started as a simple idea, buying ingredients and cooking fries, quickly turned into a deeper system design challenge.
This phase focused on building the foundation:
Resource storage
Container-based capacity
Purchase validation
Separation between items and resources
These systems now work together and will support future gameplay features.
Still early in development, but this foundation is critical before moving forward.
Sharing a visual overview of how everything connects together.
How do you usually approach building systems, plan everything early or evolve as you go !!!
