Qualification Development Curriculum – Skill Up Plus Project
Under the Skill Up Plus Project, the Research and Development Foundation (RDF) organized the 2nd meeting on Qualification Development of Curriculum from 20th April 2026 to 24th April 2026 in Lahore, with the support of Welthungerhilfe. The meeting was technically led by National Vocational & Technical Training Commission and Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority, bringing together a total of 22 participants. These included academic experts from NAVTTC, STEVTA, KP-TEVTA, P-TEVTA, and the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, along with industry experts from leading organizations such as PakZone Electric Motors, Jolta Electric, Lucky Motor Corporation, Hyundai Nishat Motors, WAX Power, Moras Group, WESCON Engineering Pvt Ltd, and Yutong. Day 1 Proceedings (20 April 2026)The session commenced with participant introductions to foster collaboration and networking among stakeholders. Mr. Aftab Soomro, Program Coordinator TEVT at RDF, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting: Overview of RDF ,Progress under the Skill Up Plus Project and Objectives and expected outcomes of the curriculum development meeting Following the presentation, participants actively engaged in technical working sessions focusing on: Curriculum Development Procedures Review of Competency Standards and Modules In the concluding session of Day 1, the DACUM expert shared and distributed detailed Curriculum Development Procedures among all participants to guide the upcoming sessions.

23rd April 2026 | RDF NCA-CES field team visited six villages across District Umerkot to assess and monitor ongoing and planned project interventions.

*Key highlights from the visit:*
- Inspected land identified for Hurri plantation and reviewed proposed sites for culvert construction
- Assessed suitable areas for tree plantation to ensure effective and sustainable implementation
- Held productive meetings with Village Development Committee members on climate-resilient agriculture with a focus on low-water crops
- Engaged with community members on kitchen gardening initiatives to boost household food production and improve family nutrition.

Turning lessons into action for a cleaner planet!
Our Grade 8 students at People’s School Mirpur Bathoro took part in an inspiring Zero Waste Lunch Day as part of their Social Studies curriculum.
Through hands-on activities, students analyzed the impact of pollution and designed their own eco-friendly lunch plans. It was a fantastic way to build awareness of sustainable living and empower the next generation to reduce waste every single day!
