Research and Development Foundation-RDF

On World Youth Skills Day 2026, the Research and Development Foundation (RDF), in collaboration with the Employers' Federation of Pakistan (EFP), convened leaders from industry, academia, government, and the TVET sector under the Skill Up Plus Project to strengthen industry-academia linkages and promote green skills for sustainable development.

The event featured remarks by Mr. Masood A. Mahesar (Executive Director, RDF), Mr. Akmal Khan (WHH), Senator Rukhsana Zuberi, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Mr. Majyd Aziz (President, EFP), Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani (Secretary, BBSHRRDB), and Ms. Waheeda Mahesar (Executive Director, SZABIST-ZABTech). The consultation was moderated by Mr. Syed Nazar Ali, Secretary, EFP.

A key milestone of the event was the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mr. Masood A. Mahesar, Executive Director, RDF, and Mr. Syed Nazar Ali, Secretary, EFP, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing youth skills, employability, and sustainable partnerships in Pakistan.

Mr. Mohan Thakur, Engineer from NCA, visited project villages under the NCA CR-WASH & CES Projects to review completed interventions, assess proposed infrastructure, verify site conditions, and engage with communities to support effective project implementation.

RDF, under the Skill Up Plus Project, organized a Capacity Building Session for partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the Sindhi Language Authority Hall, Hyderabad.

The session strengthened CSOs' understanding of the registration processes, policies, and eligibility requirements of Sindh TEVTA, TTB, and NAVTTC, enabling them to expand access to quality TVET opportunities.
