One-Day Staff Training on First Aid, Casualties, and Work-Related Hazards was successfully conducted for project staff by Management & Development Foundation (MDF) under the project “Improving the Income Security of Small-Scale Cotton Farmers in Pakistan,” funded by WWF Germany and conducted in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Sindh. The training enhanced staff capacity in emergency response, workplace safety, and basic first aid practices.

Strengthening Women’s Economic Empowerment Through Skills & Digitalization
Ms. Zareen, Program Officer at UN Women, visited Village Haji Sawan Gopang to meet with women home-based workers and monitor the ongoing training activities under the “Strengthening Women’s Economic Empowerment and Social Protection” project.
During the visit, she appreciated the dedication and hard work of the women who are striving to support and improve the livelihoods of their families through home-based enterprises.
She emphasized the importance of enhancing entrepreneurial skills and adopting digitalization to expand and strengthen women-led businesses for sustainable economic growth and empowerment.

A delegation from WWF Germany and WWF-Pakistan under the project “Improving the Income Security of Small-Scale Cotton Farmers in Khairpur Mir’s, Pakistan” highlighted the resilience, determination, and progress of local communities in Khairpur Mir’s, Pakistan.

Ms. Elisabeth and Ms. Sachi Nelson from WWF Germany, along with Masood Khan and Muhammad Irfan from WWF Pakistan, engaged closely with beneficiaries, observed ongoing interventions, and listened to inspiring stories of empowerment, resilience, and positive change.

From kitchen gardening and handicrafts to women-led livelihood initiatives, the visit reflected a shared commitment to promoting sustainable livelihoods and creating brighter, more secure futures for small-scale cotton farming communities in Khairpur Mir’s, Pakistan.

Together, we continue to strengthen partnerships, support community resilience, and empower local communities in Sindh, Pakistan.
