Pakistan has become a new partner in China's ambitious lunar research station project, which aims to establish a station on the moon's south pole. The initial cooperation agreement was signed in Beijing, witnessed by Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

This collaboration, as announced by the China National Space Administration, will encompass various aspects of the Chinese lunar base program, including engineering and operational components. China, with its goal to become a significant space player by 2030, has already garnered support from countries like Russia, Venezuela, and South Africa. Their objective is to land astronauts on the moon by the end of this decade.

The timeframe for constructing a lunar outpost at the south pole aligns with NASA's ambitious Artemis program, which aims to return US astronauts to the lunar surface by December 2025, pending any potential delays.

Apple has introduced a new Apple Pencil priced at $79, featuring a concealed USB-C charging port, set to be launched in November. Unlike its predecessors, which required users to plug the pencil into the iPad charging port for charging, this model simplifies the charging process.

This more affordable Apple Pencil is compatible with all USB-C iPads, though it does not offer some of the advanced capabilities found in pricier Apple Pencils.

One notable difference is that it can magnetically attach to the sides of USB-C iPads but lacks wireless charging functionality, a feature present in the $129 second-generation Apple Pencil. Additionally, it does not have pressure sensitivity, a characteristic available in the older $99 Apple Pencil. Consequently, it may be more suitable for individuals primarily interested in note-taking rather than digital artistry.

This release follows last month's unveiling of the new iPhone 15 lineup, which has transitioned to USB-C charging, replacing the Lightning port. Apple's decision to adopt the common charging standard is in line with European Union regulations.
