Thack Niat Development Organization

Thack Niat Development Organization has successfully completed the rehabilitation of the irrigation water channel that was severely damaged by recent floods (cloudburst) in the area of Ghani Khun, Thack, District Diamer.

The project was implemented with the technical and financial support of the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP). The restored irrigation channel will significantly improve water availability for agricultural lands, contributing to improved livelihoods and enhanced resilience of the local community against future climate-related disasters.

An inauguration ceremony was held today, which was attended by Regional Programme Manager Mr. Piyar Ali, social Mobilizer mr Ehsan Engineer Tariq ,community members, the Chairman of Thack Niat Development Organization Mr Tariq Mehmood Qureshi and its executive members, and other representatives marking the successful completion of this important development initiative.
