⚠️ From Drilling to Production: Understanding the Complete Journey of an Oil Well

This engineering infographic illustrates two of the most important phases in the life cycle of an oil well: drilling the well and producing hydrocarbons from the reservoir.

📍 On the left, we see the Drilling Rig, the massive structure responsible for creating the wellbore. During drilling operations, the drill bit penetrates various rock formations while drilling fluid circulates through the system to cool the bit, remove cuttings, and maintain well control. Key components such as the derrick, drill string, drill collars, mud pumps, and Blowout Preventer (BOP) work together to safely reach the target reservoir.
