CNHS Special Program in Foreign Language

All SPFL admission exam takers are strongly advised to also take the CNHS Entrance Examination on April 29.

This will serve as your alternative option in case you do not qualify for the SPFL program.

Taking both exams ensures that you will still have a place at Catanduanes National High School and continue your learning journey.

The SPFL Culminating Activity for School Year 2025–2026, titled ¡Sabor y Cultura! – Fusión de España y Filipinas, was a vibrant celebration of language, culture, and creativity. The event highlighted how students brought their learning to life by showcasing the rich connections between Spanish and Filipino traditions.

Students presented a variety of performances and outputs that reflected their understanding of both cultures. They captivated the audience with lively Spanish and Filipino dances, demonstrating not only their skills but also their appreciation of cultural expression. The Grade 9 students prepared and presented Spanish cuisine, while the Grade 8 students proudly showcased Filipino dishes, emphasizing the fusion of flavors and traditions. Meanwhile, the Grade 7 students added excitement and creativity through their cosplay, bringing cultural characters and ideas to life.

More than just a presentation, the activity was a meaningful demonstration of learning beyond the classroom. It allowed students to use the Spanish language in authentic contexts while celebrating their own Filipino identity. Overall, the culminating activity was a successful and memorable experience that truly embodied the spirit of sabor y cultura—a fusion of taste, culture, and learning.
