📌 Kindergarten Enrollment Cut-Off Age | SY 2026–2027
To all parents and guardians: 🏫
❗ Regular eligibility:
Child must be 5 years of age on or before October 31, 2026 to enroll in Kindergarten.
✅ Extended eligibility (exceptional cases):
A child who will turn 5 between November 1 – December 31, 2026 may be allowed if:
1️⃣ He has completed 1 year in the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program at a well-known Child Development Center or Learning Center, or
2️⃣ Pass the Philippine Early Childhood Development (ECD) Checklist to be administered by Kindergarten teachers on the first week of school.
💡 Reminder:
DepEd's goal is to make sure that children are Kindergarten-ready, while giving flexibility to young children.
📣 Tip for parents: Prepare an ECCD certificate or be prepared with the ECD Checklist in case your child enters extended eligibility.
