MOJO | PATCHING THE GAP

As another school year begins, Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL Program) is also back on track to bridge learning gaps—ensuring no students are left behind; hence, catching up on educational setbacks, initiated July 8, 2026.

These steps provide building blocks for struggling students in reaching long-term life goals, offering guidance and facilitation in each student’s learning difficulties.

NEWS| The Beacon Kicks Off SY '26-'27 with First General Meeting

The Beacon, the official school publication of Urdaneta City National High School, successfully held its first General Meeting on July 3 at the UCNHS Library, together with the School Paper Advisers and student journalists from Grades 7-12.

The meeting, led by Editor-in-Chief Aurelia Maria Sofia F. Magno, officially welcomed both new and returning staff members and introduced this year's Editorial Board and SPAs. Discussions centered on the publication's work schedule, writing desks, editorial workflow, attendance and accountability policies, and the calendar of activities for the school year. Staff members were also briefed on upcoming training sessions and coaching activities as they prepare for the Schools Press Conference.

With the official start of School Year 2026-2027, the publication reaffirmed its commitment to teamwork and discipline in journalism. As student journalists take on new responsibilities, The Beacon continues to uphold its mission of "Illuminating Honest and Responsible Journalism."
