PLDT and SMART TS DANTE ADVISORY #1

[31 May 2021] As of 5:00 pm Philippine Standard Time, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal no. 1 has been hoisted over the eastern portion of Northern Samar and the northeastern portion of Eastern Samar.

PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have prepositioned personnel, network equipment, back-up power supply, and resources to ensure the resilience of our services and, if needed, the quick restoration of communication in areas that will be impacted by the typhoon.

Tropical Storm “Dante” has maintained its strength as it moves northwestward over the Philippine Sea. It was last spotted over water east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, packing winds of up to 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h.

We are ready to deploy our Libreng Tawag (free call) and Libreng Charging (free charging) stations, and to extend assistance to response teams in areas that will be heavily impacted by .
