UP Kalilayan proudly shares that we have been recognized as a recipient of the 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨 𝐁. 𝐆𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐳 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐏 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬’ 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 under the Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction category.

This recognition was made possible through Tagisan 40, an inter-high school initiative that brought together more than 500 students from Quezon and Aurora. The project centers on the disproportionate impacts of the climate crisis on the Philippines as part of the Global South, zooming in on communities most vulnerable to its adverse effects.

Rest assured that we will continue to roll out initiatives, stand in solidarity with communities, and advocate for informed, inclusive, and sustainable solutions.
