PSABE Rizal Chapter Joins Regional Tree Planting Activity in Laguna
The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) Rizal Chapter joined the tree planting activity organized by the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) β Siniloan Campus in collaboration with PSABE Region IV-A Chapter on March 14, 2026, at Brgy. Numero, Mabitac, Laguna.
PSABE Rizal officers, together with student volunteers from the PSABE Pre-Professional Group of the University of Rizal System (URS) Chapter, participated in the activity which included a more than three-kilometer hike to the planting site. Along the trail and at the summit, participants witnessed the scenic landscapes of Laguna and Rizal provinces.
At the summit area, participants planted a mix of agroforestry and fruit-bearing tree seedlings in support of environmental restoration and sustainable land management.
The activity also gathered students from the LSPU College of Engineering, delegates from the PSABE Cavite Chapter, and Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering students from Cavite State University.
The initiative forms part of the celebration of National Engineering Month, observed every March. # #
