On April 8, 2026, in Barangay Talenceras, Tubigon, Bohol, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing and Groundbreaking Ceremony for the construction of the much-awaited footbridge marked the beginning of a safer path for the community. This milestone was made possible through the presence and shared commitment of PAFCPIC, the 2nd Training Group, the LGU of Tubigon, Bohol, and the community of Barangay Talenceras.

Echoing the lived realities of the people, Hon. Marlon Amila, Mayor of Tubigon, shared: โ€œI always carry with me the stories of our peopleโ€”those who cross rivers every day just to get to school, to work, or to bring food to their families. Kabalo ta nga dili gyud sayon, labi na kung ting-ulan ug kusog ang tubig. That is why this project means so much to us.โ€

In a deeply moving reflection, Barangay Captain Julito G. Babida shared the long wait of his community: โ€œMatagal na itong pangarap namin sa Barangay Talenceras. โ€

With heartfelt conviction, PAFCPIC President BGen Fernando S. Zabat reminded everyone of the true purpose of this endeavor: โ€œSa ating mga kababayan sa Barangay Talenceras, ang proyektong ito ay para sa inyoโ€”para sa kaligtasan ng inyong mga anak, para sa inyong kabuhayan, at para sa kinabukasan ng inyong komunidad.โ€

Through the Signing of the Memorandum of Partnership Agreement and the Groundbreaking Ceremony, hope begins to take shape. Through the help and unity of many hands, the long-awaited footbridge in Barangay Talenceras moves closer to reality, bringing a safer and more secure path for students, farmers, and families who risk crossing every day.
