My retinoid sandwich method.✨ (not an ad or promotion of any specific product 🩷)

FOR ALL THE SENSITIVE SKIN GIRLIES✨😘 Yes, you’re welcome.🩷 Your bestie derm’s skin is very very sensitive and almost cannot handle any retinoid for so many years until I figured out that using sandwich method and retinol is the only way it can work for me. However, sandwich method may decrease the potency of the retinoid/retinol you’re using especially if the moisturizer you use is too occlusive as it may prevent the retinoid from primarily getting absorbed into the skin layers. Hence the technique/tip above.✨ MY TRICK: I use a watery gel for my 1st layer and then my retinoid gently patting in for a minute and then finish off with a cream formulation for more hydration as I have dry patches on my cheeks. The best ones is one that you like using and it just so happens here that my moisturizers are free of fragrances, colorants, mineral oils, and alcohol but has emollients, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and niacinamide (which is a good formulation imho)✨ Tbh, it doesn’t really come out more expensive because you best believe I empty out my jars of moisturizer all the time and basically by using 2 jars, it lasts me twice as long and I don’t have to replace/purchase every so often compared to just having one.
